Thank you for joining me as I peer into the utter darkness and break down the soul and psyche of the deranged cannibalistic murderer– Jeffrey Dahmer. You might have already watched the video of my analysis of his Birthchart here. With Dahmer’s chart being one of the first charts that I read, I would like to think I grew quite a bit since reading it. So, this article might differ quite a bit, giving even more insight into the deluded mind of the Milwaukee Cannibal.

For those who might have been living in a cave for the last 35 years or so, Jeffrey Dahmer was an American Serial killer born May, 21st 1960 in Milwaukee Wisconsin at 4:34 p.m.. Dahmer had a killing spree that stretched beyond a decade where he drugged, raped, killed, and devoured various body parts of 17 male victims. Jeffrey Dahmer was arrested and charged with murder on July 22nd, 1991 at his apartment, which contained the remains of his many unsuspecting victims in Milwaukee Wisconsin. After his apprehension and trial, Dahmer lived out the rest of his short life and was murdered in the same poetic fashion of his first victim by being brutally bludgeoned by a dumbbell while incarcerated on November 28, 1994. Many saw Jeffrey as a mild mannered, quiet man. Few saw the propensity of such grievous acts of violence that Dahmer would go one to brutally commit with little to no remorse for his victims or their families. But what makes a killer tick? Let’s find out.
The Sun, Mercury, and Venus
Let’s start off with the Sun Sign of Jeffrey Dahmer which lies in the morose 8th house teetering of the cusp of bull-headed Taurus and the intellectual sign of Gemini. Technically speaking, the Sun is 0 degrees of Gemini and it is making a conjunction between the stereotypically-talkative Mercury and the objective beauty of Venus. A Gemini Sun would normally indicate someone who is the epitome of an intellectual or perhaps a silver-tongued communicator. However, having the Sun placed in the 8th House paints a completely different picture. The House of Death tends to invert whatever inhabits its domicile. Dahmer was known for his quiet, yet oddly polite demeanor, but few knew at the time of the horrors he committed behind closed doors. This normally outgoing Sun indicates introversion and someone who might have enjoyed his privacy a little too much.
Since we glossed over Mercury and Venus already, let’s examine those two planets a little deeper. At first glance, seeing the Sun conjunct Mercury and Venus would often indicate someone who might be outgoing and enjoys relating and talking with others. Since this killer combination of Dahmer’s forms a Stellium in the 8th House, I would heed otherwise. From a young age, Jeffrey had a grotesque fascination with the dead. Guided by Dahmer’s father, Lionel, the two Dahmers would gather roadkill along the sides of roadways for future cannibal to experiment with and hone his skills. Since childhood, Dahmer had less struggles conversing with the dead than he did with the living. This combination of Dahmer’s Sun, Venus, with an empathize of Mercury forming a Stellium in the 8th House makes total sense here.
Venus is the planet of relationships. Jeffrey struggled early on with relating with others, but yet still had this deep craving to do just that. Loneliness got the best of young Dahmer and he snapped and murdered his first victim at the tender age of 18. Picking the young man up while he was hitchhiking to a concert, Dahmer was more than happy for the company. The problems began when the oblivious hitchhiker, Steven Hicks wanted to leave… Due to a traumatic childhood, Dahmer had a deep fear of abandonment. All his life, Dahmer just wanted someone to love. Being terrible with goodbyes, Jeffrey sadistically took his first victim by bludgeoning the unsuspecting Hicks with a dumbbell. As Dahmer’s M.O. grew in sophistication, so did his deep dark fantasies of death and sexual perversion.

One of the most horrifying aspects of the Dahmer case is the sadistic sexual deviance that Dahmer displayed on his hapless victims. Seeking a total lack of control – Dahmer needed total sovereignty over the men he mutilated and murdered. While unconscious, Jeffrey would perform unspeakable sexual acts on the corpses he so endeared. Necrophilia and sexual taboos ring true to the sinister 8th House Stellium of Jeffrey Dahmer. Throughout his life, Dahmer struggled with engaging and finding meaningful relationships with the living. His loneliness and desolation drove Jeffrey to the point of performing disgusting, vile acts that society would deem unforgivable. But what was the source of these demented fantasies?
The introverted, yet disturbed Mercury of Jeffrey Dahmer, with his Sun and Venus conjunction going along for the ride to the 1st House is making a tense quincunx with Neptune in Scorpio. Neptune is associated with visions, delusions, psychosis and escapism. Let's combine that with Neptune being out of place in the morbid sign of Scorpio. Visions of gumdrops and lollipops were not in the itinerary of Dahmer. Being a part of the First House, visions of bizarre fantasies of gore and dismemberment danced around the head of Dahmer consistently. Fueled by alcoholism that Jeffrey used as a poor coping mechanism to escape reality, Dahmer would go on drunken rampages which resulted in the untimely death of 17 young men and boys.
Let’s follow another quincunx from the dark daydreams of Dahmer’s demented Neptune to his hellacious Mars in Aries in the 6th House. Alongside this aggressive Mars placement in its equally destructive home sign of Aries, just 8 degrees away we find Dahmer’s insidious Moon right on the cusp of his Descendant. This is the point where Jeffrey would carry out his dark delusions that his Neptune would muster up. Mars being the planet of aggression and violence is in the house of skills. Over the course of a decade, Jeffrey would immaculately develop a system to dismember the bodies of his victims in his small apartment which was located in a busy complex in the American Midwest. With the Conjunction of Dahmer’s aggressive, volatile Moon not far away, these heinous acts of Dahmer slowly acquiring an army of body parts to macabrely decorate his altar must have been quite emotionally fulfilling for this unillustrious murderer.
The Yod
Things come full circle– or perhaps triangle for Jeffrey Dahmer when we follow the trail back to Mercury via Sextile from his murderous Mars. The Sextile is a 60 degree aspect indicating something exciting and exhilarating. This sextile Mars to Mercury of course results in the two quincunxes that we previously mentioned, forming a mysterious, and in this case, dangerous Yod. The meaning of a Yod is “the Finger of God” in Hebrew. The Sextile between the Mars, Moon, and Descendant and the notorious 8th House Stellium combine and point to Jeffrey’s sickening and morbid delusions of Neptune in the 1st House which sadistically forms the apex to Dahmer’s Yod. Yods are often seen and something of destiny, or even fatalistic. Yods are usually at some point triggered by other transiting planets, forcing a manifestation in reality at some point. As the preceding paragraphs suggest. Dahmer had these sick disgusting delusions of sexual power and control that he eventually masterfully executed to fanatical delight. Dahmer would turn on the charm with his 8th House stellium, lure unsuspecting men back to his apartment, where they would be drugged and well– you know the rest.

Troubled Childhood
Like most other serial killers, Jeffrey Dahmer had a terrible upbringing. In utero, the mother of Jeffrey Dahmer abused various pharmaceuticals, which might explain many of the neurosis Dahmer had to contend with. The father of Jeffrey, Lionel Dahmer was reported to be cold, and narcissistic, which would perfectly match Saturn being conjunct Jeffrey’s IC in the Saturnine home of callus Capricorn. Growing up, Jeffrey lacked control of his life he so desperately desired. This absence of power was most likely quite frustrating for the future mutilator. Dahmer was alone and misunderstood by both his family and peers. This is where Dahmer resorted to alcohol abuse, often showing up to school drunk at a young age. Jeffrey was often left unattended, only left with his thoughts, which grew increasingly morbid from one day to another.
This frustration would continue to grow, until Jeffrey eventually hit a breaking point. That breaking point which led to Jeffrey to commit the heinous acts that he is infamous for. Saturn in Capricorn is the epitome of power and control. With Saturn being conjunct his IC, this would indicate that Dahmer’s private life might take a dark twist. Making a square, Dahmer’s Saturn is meeting with his Moon conjunct Jeffrey’s descendant and Mars in the most malicious of ways. Jeffrey has the need of complete isolation and domination of his victims. Combine this with his crafty Mars-Moon combination, the results became deadly. Saturn conjunct Dahmer's Nadir exacerbated the tyranny of Dahmer’s personality.
Not far away, but out of conjunction range lies Jeffrey’s would-be gregarious Jupiter. The enthusiasm of Jupiter is muted by the cold, prying hands of Capricorn in the 3rd House. Unfortunately, I not only share this placement with Jeffrey Dahmer– but the notorious dictator Adolf Hitler does so as well. You can watch Hitler’s Birthchart reading here. Steven Forrest describes Jupiter in Capricorn as a challenge to create something in the world that is significant enough to outlive you– I think it’s safe to say this is something that Jeffrey Dahmer accomplished. Jupiter in Capricorn would propel Dahmer’s Saturnine need for dominance and would help Jeffrey turn on the charm needed to attract potential victims being in the House of Communication. With Dahmer’s 3rd House being worrisome enough, Jupiter is making a Trine to his Pluto in Virgo in the 11th House.

One of Jeffrey’s delusional goals was to make undead servants that would fulfil the demands of Dahmer’s unrelenting need for control. Over the course of Dahmer’s decade of destruction, He began amassing a collection of tokens of death which consisted of various organs, body parts, and even several full human skeletons. Seeing that Dahmer’s Virgoan Pluto lies in the 11th House of Community, Jeffrey created his own strange tribe of undead subordinates. Across the horoscope of horrors, we see that Dahmer’s ghastly Pluto is forming an opposition to Jeffrey’s Piscean Chiron in the House of Joy and Debauchery.
Dahmer’s Chiron placement piggybacks of his poignant Neptune in the 1st House. With a volatile upbringing, Jeffrey sought respite through his binging of alcohol and escaping into his distorted fantasies of death and sexual escapades. Chiron represents a wound that is in need of healing so we can help heal others. Having Chiron in Pisces could indicate that Dahmer had an emotional, spiritual void that was in need of attention. Things eventually got out of hand and Dahmer resorted to the escapist tendencies that Pisces is known for. Jeffrey had a deep longing desire for romance, which seemed out of reach, and his sense of joy was inhibited. The Pisces Chiron is making an opposition to his Virgoan Pluto, and both of these placements form squares to his 8th house stellium, again creating a point of tension that Dahmer failed to soothe in an appropriate manner, and heinous crimes were committed as a result.

Before we break down the Nodal story of Jeffrey Dahmer, let’s take a look at his MC and Uranus. The MC, or the Midheaven is the cusp of the 10th House. This would give us a glimpse of a potential career for Dahmer and his public reputation. Dahmer has a Cancer MC which translates into him needing some form of vocation where he seeks inner-fulfillment. It’s safe to say that Dahmer’s morbid escapades had deep emotional ties. With a fear of the living, Dahmer resorted to strange acts of necrophilia and dismemberment to fulfil these sought out, yet neglected. Dahmer wanted to create a lover that would stay with him no matter what, someone who would be completely subservient to all of his whims.
Jeffrey’s MC makes a natural opposition to his IC where we see controlling and domineering Capricorn which is making a conjunction to the ruler of austere Capricorn, Saturn. Saturn is making a quincunx to Uranus which lies in Leo in the 10th House. Uranus is the weirdo of the Zodiac. Uranus is a source of contention and rebellion. With it being in the attention-seeking Leo, Dahmer gained notoriety for his depraved crimes. During his brief incarceration, Dahmer was reported to have formed human limbs out of his food and used ketchup to portray human blood, sickening and angering his fellow inmates. This strange tactic to render and garnish attention from Dahmer’s violent peers definitely earned him the notoriety that Dahmer desperately seeked.
One question you might be asking, was Dahmer BORN to become a violent grotesque murderer, or was it merely an option? Let’s examine Jeff’s nodes and see what his karmic history looks like. Again, we see Piscean energy with Dahmer’s South Node in Neptune in the 5th House. Traditionally, we view the South Node as the story of what lives Dahmer may have led in the past . The South Node tells us the Karma that has accumulated over many lifetimes and what needed to be worked on in his past incarnation as Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer. Pisces in the 5th House in a negative lens indicates escapist, delusional tendencies which unfortunately Dahmer seemed to not be able to avoid this time around the Earth. Dahmer once again fell into the trap of alcohol abuse and dark bizarre fantasies that escalated into something truly atrocious. The 5th House indicates hedonistic tendencies which Dahmer indulged in, and relied on. Dahmer simply needed liquid courage to fulfil acts he couldn’t commit to while clear-headed.
The sadist South Node of Dahmer is making a sextile to Venus, which in term is conjunct Dahmer’s Sun and Mercury in the 8th House creating a recipe for disaster. The South Node also trines Jeffrey’s busy MC giving the need of a public audience to view his despicable acts. Saturn also sextiles the South node indicating an unhealthy infatuation for control and dominance. To get a complete picture– Let’s go back to the first house and see the modern ruler of Dahmer’s South Node, Neptune. As aforementioned, Jeffrey’s Neptune in Scorpio in the 1st House determines the possible source of these deep, dark visions that played in Dahmer’s head time after time. At some point, simply thinking of the fantasies and playing with the carrion of roadkill wasn’t enough to satisfy Dahmer, and Jeff moved on to humans.
Now we must flip the script and look at the other part of the nodal equation– the North Node. The North Node indicates what was unfamiliar to Jeffrey, but it was the path that he needed to travel in order for his soul to grow and find the nourishment his psyche came into this life to seek. Dahmer’s North Node lies in Virgo in the 11th House, indicating that Jeff needed to develop useful skills to serve his fellow man, and to form or join a community. It seems that Jeffrey showed some signs of fulfilling this as he tried to collect and create a disturbing community of death with body parts of his victims, hoping to amass mindless servants that would serve his needs. Mercury rules the North Node and as we previously mentioned, Mercury lies in the House of Death in Gemini. Gemini is the source of our communication and intellect, stating that Jeff needed to pursue intellectual endeavors with people in an psychological or occult manner seeing that the Ruler lies in the 8th House.

At this point, we all know the story of Jeffrey Dahmer. He was a serial killer that slayed and devoured the remains of 17 men and boys. Dahmer fell prey to his hedonistic compulsions and 17 men fell prey to him. On another note, Jeffrey was far more cooperative with authorities compared to other serial killers. He admitted guilt and felt that he deserved the death penalty. Jeff was an open book about his heinous crimes, and as a society, we learned a lot about the nature of serial murderers.. In a sense, Dahmer fulfilled some of his North Node duties, being receptive to profiling other killers such as himself. Dahmer gave us insight into his deranged mind, and in return, Dahmer parted us with a gift to hopefully detect and deter future murders that may transpire in the future.
